Goodbye 2015

Well, it's 10:00 pm (PT) and I thought I would write one final post to wrap up the year.  As many of you know, I started my blog at the beginning of the year as a personal challenge to myself.  I have learned so much along the way and have also met some amazing, inspiring and supportive people.  Last year I wrote 29 posts and had 1100 page views from 12 different countries. Next week I will be sharing my first layout as part of the Stick It Down Design Team.

In 2016 I will continue to challenge myself as a blogger, photographer and designer.

To all of my readers including family and friends, thanks for your encouragement and support!

Here's to an amazing new year!

Craft Day

We recently had a "craft day" at my Mom's house during our Thanksgiving visit.  One of the items that we made were these Mason jar holders.  I just got mine hung today and I just love it.  It is made with lumber from our 100 year old tavern that was torn down a few years ago.  I am thankful that we all now have a piece of our family history.

We also made some signs thanks to my amazing brother Mike.  Not only did he help gather the lumber, he also cut it, and helped paint it. OK....let's be honest, he did most of the work but I got to take home the sign!

December 2014

Here is the first December page of my 2014 album.  I typically include a photo of my tree and any new decorations.  Last year this included a new photo board, a hand made wreath, and winter vinyl stickers for my window.

Holiday Album 2014

I thought I would share a few more of the pages from my 2014 holiday album.  As I was flipping through it I realized that I have several unfinished pages.  It doesn't surprise me, I always seem to finish about a year later.  Sharing the pages with all of you will inspire me to get this book done so that I can really get going on my 2015 album.

The first three layouts document the crafting that Hailey and I did at Laura's annual Wreath Party.  I also like to include holiday festivities at work which are shown on the next two pages.  The last layout is from Thanksgiving.  This was taken at my brother's house.  I was not at the dinner but was excited to see what they were all up to that day. I love that everyone is "belly laughing" hysterically. They were obviously having a wonderful time.

I Made It!

For those of you that have been following my blog since the beginning of the year, one of my goals was to be on a scrapbook design team.  I am happy to announce that I made it on my first design team!  It's a multi-challenge blog called Stick It Down. Please visit the site to see the Single Page Design Team along with my bio and photo.  I am so excited for this opportunity and now I need to deliver on my first assignment for January.  Wish me luck!
